I know this sounds lazy, and it is. I would rather trust my process and focus on creating value than spend time running around ensuring that people are doing what they should.
Of course, you cannot plan everything 100%, but you can try to automate as much as possible. If the team needs to change the process, let's change it. It is extremely simple, effective, and follows the Agile Manifesto.
